Shelby Houston

 Shelby grew up in Forney, TX, starting recreational volleyball at the age of 7 years old. She then moved to playing club for many years at Texas Assault. Shelby played volleyball at Forney High School and received all district awards, as well as academic all-district. Her senior year, she was named Offensive Player of the Year. Graduating a year early, at the peak of COVID-19, she signed to play collegiate volleyball at LeTourneau University. After a year, she then transferred to Dallas Baptist University, to pursue ministry and a degree in Psychology. Shelby is a senior at DBU and plans to graduate in December of 2023. While finishing up school, Shelby travels to speak about her story of forgiveness in response to her father being murdered while in the line of duty, in December of 2021. In her free time, she enjoys coming back to her roots, getting on the court, and coaching volleyball!

Fun Fact: Shelby is engaged to her fiancé Will, and is getting married in August of 2023!
