Sara Schmidt

Sara attended Marcus High School in Flower Mound where she received numerous awards at the school, district, and area level for volleyball. After graduating in 1999, Sara attended Texas A&M Commerce where she continued her volleyball career.

In Commerce, she was awarded on the school and conference level for hitting, serving, and defense. Currently she has the most digs of any non-defensive specialists and is on the Top Ten List for kills. Sara graduated with a degree in Business Administration and worked in the title industry before returning to school to become a teacher.

After teaching for a few years, she decided to go back to school to become a librarian. Sara is currently the Library Media Specialist at Lake Dallas HS where she was recently named Teacher of the Year!

Fun facts: Sara loves to read, dance and play sports when she has free time. She has three fantastic sisters, including Coach Meaghan, and a great, large family.  Sara lives in Corinth with her fabulous husband, Jason. They are proud parents of Elise, Sean and Patrick.
